New flights to Stock­holm set to be so Swede

TWICE- weekly flights to Stock­holm from Birm­ing­ham Air­port will take off from the end of March next year.

Scan­di­na­vian Air­lines ( SAS) will op­er­ate the routes from March 30, 2018 with fares start­ing from £ 82 one- way.

Trav­ellers can fly on Fri­days and Satur­days – Fri­day’s flights will ar­rive into Birm­ing­ham at 8am and leave for Stock­holm at 8.40am while Sun­day’s will ar­rive at 9.35am and de­part for Stock­holm at 10.15am.

Wil­liam Pear­son, Birm­ing­ham Air­port’s avi­a­tion direc­tor, said: “The Swedish cap­i­tal of­fers some­thing for ev­ery­one as a vi­brant and cul­tural Nordic hub with beau­ti­ful ar­chi­tec­ture. The city stretches across 14 is­lands, mean­ing there is stun­ning scenery. It also of­fers great nightlife and restau­rants and lo­cal warmth and hos­pi­tal­ity.”

Niko Ek, Re­gional Sales Man­ager, Scan­di­na­vian Air­lines, added: “We are glad to soon be start­ing our new route from Birm­ing­ham, where we have seen a grow­ing de­mand from our pas­sen­gers, both trav­el­ling for plea­sure and busi­ness.”
