Prospective students told: Try it!
STRATFORD- upon- Avon College’s school leaver and university level open events will take place on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 November – join the team on campus to discover the range of study opportunities available from September 2019.
Represented at the event will be the college’s full complement of vocational courses, such as BTECs, apprenticeships and university level study programmes. The wide range of post- GCSE courses for school leavers encompasses subjects as varied as creative fields including art & design and photography, caring professions such as health & social care and many more.
The college is equally proud of its extended provision of university level courses. This diverse range of programmes includes two exciting innovations facilitating preparation for stage school – the Phat Swan Performance Company and the Foundation in Musical Theatre; both were launched in 2018 and are already proving to be a great success.
Curriculum staff and current students will be on hand to answer any questions and present examples of their work, and visitors will be encouraged to try out courses first- hand by taking part in a selection of have- a- go activities. Stratford’s chief operating officer Lindsey Stewart said: “We are very excited to welcome prospective students to the college’s open events for what will be our first full year merged with Solihull College & University Centre.
“There is always such a buzz at our open events and the number of registrations we have already proves that our reputation is going from strength to strength. Students can even apply for a course at the events, so they can take care of the complete application process in one stress- free visit.”
