The analogue ethos

Somerset Life - - LOUD MASTERING -

John said: “The analogue era, for me, is full of detail, full of resolution and full of atmosphere. The character and energy of the music, captured in a really good way.” When the digital era began in the 1980s John worked to maintain the analogue ethos, believing that there is a distinct difference in sound between a CD and good analogue vinyl. The digitising process can lose the detail and purity that is captured by an analogue circuit, which works through a more natural design and produces a higher quality sound.
