Arrest after alleged assault

POLICE have arrested a man after an alleged assault on a man with severe autism at his home.

Joseph Roberts, 31, is alleged to have been hit once in the face in Barry last Monday evening.

Maria Parsons, the sister of Mr Roberts, said her brother has “severe autism” and has to be looked after 24/7 and is unable to speak.

South Wales Police said they have arrested a 51-year-old man in connection with an alleged assault, on April 17.He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
