Man in alleged axe attack

A MAN has been taken to hospital after he was allegedly attacked with an axe.

South Wales Police said they were called to reports of a disturbance at about 7.25am on Thursday in Galon Uchaf, Merthyr Tydfil.

A 34-year-old man from Dowlais has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
