BEYONCE AND JAY-Z ANNOUNCE CITY STADIUM GIG
BEYONCé and Jay-Z are coming to Cardiff as part of the latest leg of their joint world tour.
They will play the first of four UK dates at the Principality Stadium on Wednesday, June 6.
It will be two years after American superstar Beyoncé was last in Cardiff with her Formation Tour.
The four new UK dates mark the first the time the On The Run tour with Jay-Z will come to the UK, having only visited France in Europe in 2014.
They will also play Hampden Park, Glasgow, on June 9; the Etihad Stadium, Manchester, on June 13; and London Stadium on June 15.
Last time she came to Cardiff, the Grammy Award-winner performed a two-hour show at the Principality Stadium culminating with the song Halo during which she handed out tissues to those in the crowd.
Beyoncé began her career as the lead singer of girl group Destiny’s Child but has been performing as a solo artist since 2003.
She has sold an estimated 100 million records, making her one of the best-selling music artists in history. She has won 22 Grammy Awards and is the most nominated woman in the award’s history.
The couple have been married since 2008 and have three children together.
Tickets for the Cardiff gig will range from £25 plus fees to £150 plus fees.
Tickets for Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s Principality Stadium gig will be on general sale from Friday, March 23, at 9am through Ticketmaster.co.uk
