Timothy Taylor Cook Lane, 5.8% ABV/330ml bottle, available at Morrisons supermarkets

TIMOTHY Taylor Brewery were founded in Keighley, West Yorkshire, in 1858 and the name of this beer is the original address of the brewery in the centre of the town. They moved to larger premises on the outskirts of the town in 1863.

Their most famous beer is Landlord for which this familyowned brewery has won many awards.

Cook Lane is deep amber in colour and pours with a large fluffy, white head.

Oranges and mangoes are in the aroma, due to the hops used to brew this beer – Goldings, Cascade and Chinook are used, all grown in this country.

Initial sweet, malty taste soon replaced by pineapple and mango from the hops.

Bitter-sweet tropical citrus aftertaste.
