Woman in­jured in dis­tur­bance at KFC

AWOMAN was left with fa­cial in­juries af­ter an in­ci­dent at a KFC res­tau­rant in South­port .

An in­ves­ti­ga­tion is now be­ing car­ried out af­ter the ‘pub­lic or­der’ of­fence at the take­away on East­bank Street on New Year’s Day.

Mersey­side Po­lice of­fi­cers were called to the res­tau­rant at around 9.30pm af­ter a re­port of a dis­tur­bance be­tween a num­ber of cus­tomers.

A fe­male cus­tomer who is be­lieved to have been with another male at the time of the in­ci­dent re­ceived a fa­cial in­jury as a re­sult of the in­ci­dent.

A spokesper­son for Mersey­side Po­lice said in a state­ment: “At around 9.30pm of­fi­cers were called to the KFC res­tau­rant on East­bank Street, South­port, af­ter a re­port of a dis­tur­bance.

“A woman had re­ceived a fa­cial in­jury that was not life threaten- ing.

“An in­ves­ti­ga­tion has started and of­fi­cers are ex­plor­ing CCTV and house-to-house en­quiries.”
