Woman injured in disturbance at KFC
AWOMAN was left with facial injuries after an incident at a KFC restaurant in Southport .
An investigation is now being carried out after the ‘public order’ offence at the takeaway on Eastbank Street on New Year’s Day.
Merseyside Police officers were called to the restaurant at around 9.30pm after a report of a disturbance between a number of customers.
A female customer who is believed to have been with another male at the time of the incident received a facial injury as a result of the incident.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said in a statement: “At around 9.30pm officers were called to the KFC restaurant on Eastbank Street, Southport, after a report of a disturbance.
“A woman had received a facial injury that was not life threaten- ing.
“An investigation has started and officers are exploring CCTV and house-to-house enquiries.”
