THERE is a Marine Con­ser­va­tion So­ci­ety beach clean event at Fresh­field beach on January 20 from 10.30am to noon.

Dur­ing the pre­vi­ous event in Septem­ber 2016, 156kg of waste was col­lected by 21 vol­un­teers in 90 min­utes.

This to­tal in­cluded 640 sep­a­rate items of plas­tic and un­for­tu­nately, a size­able num­ber of wet wipes and cot­ton bud sticks were also found.

In the first con­cert of its kind to tour the UK and Europe, Macca – The Con­cert cel­e­brates the mu­sic of Paul McCart­ney and fea­tures ac­claimed West End per­form­ers and, us­ing state-of-theart vis­ual me­dia pro­jec­tion and light­ing through­out, cel­e­brates McCart­ney’s en­tire solo ca­reer from 1970 to 2016 in­clud­ing all his best­loved hits, the ac­claimed ‘Wings Over The World’ 1975-76 con­cert tour, along with a se­lec­tion of Bea­tles favourites.

Ex­pe­ri­ence the drama of Live and Let Die, the pathos of No More Lonely Nights and the nos­tal­gia of Band on the Run along­side many more.

The per­for­mance starts at 7.30pm.
