Plea af­ter school’s bench is stolen

APRIMARY school has launched a so­cial me­dia ap­peal to re­turn a bench that was stolen on New Year’s Eve.

Banks Methodist Pri­mary School in Chapel Lane, Banks, said that the bench was stolen from the school field while it was closed for the win­ter hol­i­days.

A Face­book post read: “On New Year’s Eve one of the benches was stolen from the school field.

“We have a re­port that a cou­ple with a small dog were seen car­ry­ing it to­wards Chapel Close.

“If any­one spots our bench in a neigh­bour­ing gar­den please can you let us know where it is.

“The chil­dren use these in PE and at play­times and we would love to have it re­turned to its right­ful place.

“Many thanks for your help.”
