Girls’ zumba ses­sion raises £2K plus for good cause

GREEN­BANK High School’s Year 7 stu­dents raised an amaz­ing £2,397.69 with their zumba fundrais­ing event.

The girls par­tic­i­pated in a fun zumba ses­sion held at the school, and asked fam­ily and friends to do­nate.

The money raised will help 95 young adults to not only re­gain their health from lep­rosy - but their fu­tures too.

Ev­ery £25 raised helps pro­vide treat­ment for a young adult who has lep­rosy - pro­vid­ing a course of treat­ment called MDT.

Jac­que­line Fair­bairn the Com­mu­nity Fundraiser for Lepra North West, pre­sented Mrs Collins the head of Year 7 and sev­eral pupils from the school with a plaque as a thank you on be­half of Lepra on Mon­day, Fe­bru­ary 6 at school dur­ing morn­ing assem­bly.
