Girls’ zumba session raises £2K plus for good cause
GREENBANK High School’s Year 7 students raised an amazing £2,397.69 with their zumba fundraising event.
The girls participated in a fun zumba session held at the school, and asked family and friends to donate.
The money raised will help 95 young adults to not only regain their health from leprosy - but their futures too.
Every £25 raised helps provide treatment for a young adult who has leprosy - providing a course of treatment called MDT.
Jacqueline Fairbairn the Community Fundraiser for Lepra North West, presented Mrs Collins the head of Year 7 and several pupils from the school with a plaque as a thank you on behalf of Lepra on Monday, February 6 at school during morning assembly.
