Our series in which Geoff Wright looks at the history of Southport and nearby areas
HERE is a sight for any sore eyes – some interesting and rare views of our lovely resort, fished out of my own archives, for your nostalgic pleasure.
I will be returning to our alphabetical series shortly, but in the meantime, why not dig out anything nostalgic you may have hidden away, and not seen for ages!
Have a good rummage during your spring cleaning – through those back drawers, in the attic, under the stairs, in that spare room, or wherever you might keep your “bits of old Southport” material, and let all the other readers have a look.
Please text me on 07402 344020 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and I will get back to you.
Meanwhile, coming soon to your Nostalgia pages, will be some good clear images, all extremely rare, from the “Sefton Looking Back” collection of Southport photographs, kindly supplied from the lovely people at Sefton Digital Archive.
