AN IN­DIE-ROCK band from South­port are set to per­form in a Lon­don show to cel­e­brate their 20th an­niver­sary.

Gomez are set to do a per­for­mance to cel­e­brate the 20th an­niver­sary of their de­but LP, Bring It On.

Their hit sin­gle, Bring It On, was re­leased in 1998 and be­came a huge suc­cess on both sides of the At­lantic af­ter it was awarded that year’s Mer­cury Mu­sic Prize.

To date, Bring It On has sold al­most half a mil­lion copies.

The five-man band was formed in the sea­side town in 1997, and is now largely based in Amer­ica, but they will re­turn to the UK next year with a Lon­don show.

The band con­sists of front­men Ian Ball and Ben Ot­tewell, bassist Paul “Blackie” Black­burn, singer/ gui­tarist/key­board­player Tom Gray, and drum­mer/pro­ducer Olly Pea­cock.

Gomez last toured the UK in 2012, but will take the stage at the Royal Al­bert Hall on May 3, 2018.
