Ready for week­end of fes­ti­vals

LOVERS of chilli, beer or gin can en­joy three great fes­ti­vals tak­ing place in South­port town cen­tre this week­end.

South­port’s Pop Up Chilli Fest, free to at­tend, makes its re­turn for a sec­ond year this Satur­day (June 16) 10am-5pm in the Town Hall Gar­dens.

Dis­cover some of the best chilli pro­duc­ers from around the UK ex­hibit­ing ex­clu­sive and unique prod­ucts such as mild to ex­treme chilli sauces, naga cook­ing sauces, chilli plants, chilli mer­chan­dise and street food.

Things heat up with a live chilli-eat­ing con­test mid-after­noon, plus live mu­sic with Sand­grounder Ra­dio.

The third Beer Street also takes place this week­end, on Fri­day, Satur­day and Sun­day (June 15-17), show­cas­ing the best of lo­cal, na­tional and in­ter­na­tional brew­eries with more than 80 beers on of­fer.

The event is hosted by Tap & Bot­tle, with the beer shop again tak­ing over Cam­bridge Ar­cade.

Vis­i­tors pay for en­try when they ar­rive at the festival and can come and go as they please through­out the day.

Rem­edy Gin Bar in the Town Hall Gar­dens will also be host­ing its Gin Lane mini-festival on the same week­end.
