High marks bucking trend for the nation
BIRKDALE High is once again celebrating an excellent set of results with 79% of all students achieving a grade 4+ (C or above) in English and 74% in Maths and over 25% of all grades at 7+ (A-A*) across the school.
Head teacher Gil Bourgade said: “I am so proud of all the boys’ achievements yet again.
“It is fantastic to see our students achieving such high grades, including the new top grade of 9, bucking the national trend and outperforming their peers.
“This is a testament to the hard work of the boys, the dedication of our staff and the support of our parents and carers.”
There were some tremendous individual performances, including the following boys who achieved eight or more top grades (A*-A or 7+):
Laith Albeedh, Sam Cooper, Nathan Crewe, Ben Gaskell, Ben Harvey, Lewis Hill, Sam Johnson, Arran Messenger, Ethan Mobbs-Pursell, Kasraa Mohammadi, Ethan Mosson, Solomon Palmer, Tom Porter, Elliot Ratcliffe, Will Scott, Ryan Stephens, Vlad Ungureanu and Daniel Windsor.
