Five years ago, my son Mitch, then 17 years old, came home from college and was having difficulty breathing. We took him to A&E where he was told he had a collapsed lung. After a week in hospital he was discharged. On the drive home, I clearly heard my late mum’s voice in my head saying, ‘He’s not out of the woods yet’. On the Monday Mitch was due to return to college but I managed to persuade him to stay home for a day or so longer.

Thank goodness I did, as the next day, Mitch’s lung collapsed again, and it was worse this time. A surgeon performed life-saving surgery and, after a few months, he was back to good health. I often wonder what might have happened if we hadn’t received the message from my mum and I’m so grateful to spirit for watching over the family.

Me with my son Mitch, who is now healthy after his ordeal
