OUT-OF-BODY: The dy­ing of­ten have the sen­sa­tion of ris­ing up and float­ing above their body and be­ing able to see the med­i­cal team work­ing to save their life.

THE LIFE REVIEW: Peo­ple report re­view­ing or re-liv­ing their lives in a mat­ter of sec­onds and some­times they can see how their ac­tions im­pacted on oth­ers.

THE TUN­NEL EX­PE­RI­ENCE: Some peo­ple report go­ing through a dark tun­nel to­wards a bright light.

EN­COUN­TER­ING OTH­ERS: Some re­call meet­ing dead rel­a­tives and friends, a re­li­gious fig­ure, an­gels or higher be­ings.

BAR­RI­ERS OR A POINT OF NO RE­TURN: Of­ten there is a bar­rier, gate or door­way and peo­ple know that, if they cross it, they won’t sur­vive their brush with death.

PEACE AND CALM: While some­one is dy­ing they may be in in­tense pain but as soon as they leave their body and ex­pe­ri­ence an NDE, the pain van­ishes and they're peace­ful.

BEAU­TI­FUL GAR­DENS: Many NDErs re­mem­ber en­ter­ing a beau­ti­ful gar­den with lush green grass and a stream or river.

TELEPA­THY: Some peo­ple report com­mu­ni­cat­ing with oth­ers dur­ing their NDE through thought trans­fer­ence.

RE­LUC­TANCE TO RE­TURN: There are some who, dur­ing their NDE, are so com­fort­able and happy with where they find them­selves that they don’t want to re­turn. Dead friends and rel­a­tives of­ten tell them it’s not their time to die and to turn back.
