Q How can I banish negative energy from my sitting room following a bad argument?

WENDY STOKES SAYS: If you’ve got caught on the phone to someone you don’t want to speak to, or you've watched something on TV that had disturbing scenes in it, the negative energy produced can stagnate in your home, just like it does when you've had an argument. Don’t worry though, as you need nothing but your intention to clear and purify it.

Firstly, open the doors and windows of your sitting room, to let in fresh air. Then hoover the carpets, bang the cushions, and have a good dust round, as negative energies like to hang around anything grubby or dusty. When you’re done, go to each corner of the room, and clap your hands several times to clear and rejuvenate the room’s energy. Repeat this around the doors and windows. If you have one, a rattle or drum can be used.

You might also want to cleanse any negative feelings from yourself, so have a bath or shower and wash your hair, as well as changing your clothes. Say out loud, ‘I clear undesirable energy from my home and from my mind. I reject that which is unhelpful or unkind. I replace it with all that gives health and healing.’

To finish, light a cleansing incense, such as lavender, rose or hyssop, and a white candle as fire is a marvellous cleanser.
