Once you feel calm, bring your aware­ness back. Re­visit this ex­er­cise for two min­utes each day through­out the moon’s cy­cle and re­flect on what shifts have oc­curred in your life.

When it comes time for the new moon, find a pri­vate place. Close the door and make your­self com­fort­able. Ac­ti­vate your senses by light­ing a scented can­dle or us­ing an es­sen­tial oil, make a cup of her­bal tea, and turn on sooth­ing mu­sic.

If there is a spe­cific area of your life that is out of bal­ance, you may wish to get more tar­geted with your words. For ex­am­ple, ‘I feel calm and bal­anced in my mar­riage.’

Close your eyes and al­low your­self to breathe through your nos­trils. Place your right hand on your heart and draw a few breaths into this part of your body. No­tice how it feels – what kind of phys­i­cal sen­sa­tions can you feel?

Place your left hand on your belly and draw a few breaths into this part of your body. No­tice how it feels. Say th­ese words out loud, ‘I feel calm and bal­anced.’
