Sun­set and Vine, the UK-based sports tele­vi­sion pro­duc­tion com­pany, moved to rekin­dle its re­la­tion­ship with sail­ing’s Volvo Ocean Race af­ter be­ing ap­pointed to de­liver and mar­ket broad­cast­ing cov­er­age of the next edi­tion in 2014-15.

The or­gan­is­ers of the event, one of the most high-pro­file round-the-world races, an­nounced that Sun­set and Vine would be re­spon­si­ble for the live cov­er­age of the in-port race series and leg starts and would dis­trib­ute all race pro­gram­ming and news footage world­wide.

The com­pany will be re­turn­ing to an event it pre­vi­ously cov­ered in both 2005-06 and 2008-09 be­fore be­ing re­placed by IMG Me­dia, the me­dia arm of the in­ter­na­tional sports and en­ter­tain­ment com­pany, for the most re­cent race in 2011-12.
