The Dallas Cowboys, of American football’s National Football League, sold the naming rights to their $1.2-billion stadium to AT&T, the US telecoms firm. The 100,000-capacity venue, which opened in 2009 and staged the 2011 Super Bowl, has changed from the Cowboys Stadium to the AT&T Stadium. The deal with AT&T, whose headquarters are in Dallas, Texas, includes “substantial” advertising opportunities inside and outside the stadium and is believed to be worth around $17 million a year to the Cowboys.
