The EurAsia Cup, a new match-play team com­pe­ti­tion fea­tur­ing the top male golfers of Europe and Asia be­gin­ning 2014, was un­veiled. The in­au­gu­ral EurAsia Cup, fea­tur­ing 10 play­ers from each con­ti­nent, will be held at the Glen­marie Golf and Coun­try Club in Malaysia from March 28 to 30. It will be the third match-play event in­volv­ing Europe af­ter the Ry­der Cup and Seve Tro­phy, the bi­en­nial con­tests be­tween Europe and USA, and Great Bri­tain & Ire­land and con­ti­nen­tal Europe, re­spec­tively.

The D+D Czech Mas­ters in Prague was added to the Euro­pean Tour for a min­i­mum of five years, be­gin­ning 2014. It will be the first Euro­pean Tour tour­na­ment in the coun­try’s cap­i­tal since the 1997 Czech Open held at the Prague Karl­stein Golf Club. The Czech Open was last held in 2011, when the Pros­per Golf Re­sort in Ce­ladna acted as host.

The Jack Nick­laus Golf Club in Korea was named as the host venue for the Pres­i­dents Cup in 2015, the first time the bi­en­nial team con­test be­tween USA and a com­bined in­ter­na­tional side from out­side Europe will have been held in Asia. The club is lo­cated in the Songdo In­ter­na­tional Busi­ness Dis­trict in In­cheon, which will be the host city for event, the PGA Tour an­nounced. The course was de­signed by Nick­laus, USA’s for­mer star golfer.
