World Snooker, the sport’s commercial arm, announced that it will stage its firstever world ranking tournament in India in October, the latest new territory for the sport. The Indian Open in Delhi will run from October 14 to 18, with 64 players competing for a prize pot of £300,000 ($500,000), of which £50,000 will go to the winner.
