Shooting boss helps flood victims
The shooting boss of a local sporting beat in Scotland has opened the doors of his house to victims forced from their homes by the recent flooding.
While away in Belgium, the sporting tenant of Gairnshiel and the Micras at Invercauld was horrified when he saw images of the devastating floods sweeping the Ballater area back home. He immediately contacted Hans McKenzieWilson, head gamekeeper at the estate, instructing him to open the doors to those in need of temporary re-housing.
It’s understood that the tenant, who didn’t wish his name to be revealed, also intends to donate furniture to those in need to help the village get back on its feet after the terrible flood damage.
