Stock control

Sporting Shooter - - The Marketplace -

Wooden gun stocks look great and add character and glamour. But they also come in for some fairly tough treatment. Sweat, dirt and oil from hands and faces – even aftershave – can migrate to the stock when you hold or mount the gun. Add in hours of exposure to rain and even the best walnut can become dull and tired.

Stock Shield from Napier is designed to enhance and protect your gun stock in just a couple of minutes. Simply apply the special blend via the built-in sponge applicator, leave for one minute and buff off with a lint-free cloth. Rain spots and blemishes will disappear and the gun will be protected for its next outing.

It doesn’t contain wax or silicone so it won’t block the pores of the wood and therefore conventional stock finishes can still be applied without the need to remove Stock Shield.

Napier recommends using it before and after use – especially after exposure to rain – to protect the wood. It can also be used on laminated and non-oiled stocks. Available from gun shops worldwide. RRP: £9.95
