Femmes Fatales sec­ond only to Brown­lee brothers!

Ladies clay shoot­ing com­mu­nity Femmes Fatales were named run­ners-up in the Sport­ing Achieve­ment of the Year cat­e­gory at this year’s York­shire Choice Awards, which took place on Satur­day 1 April in Leeds.

They were recog­nised for their work in en­cour­ag­ing and in­spir­ing over a thou­sand women to get out­doors and get in­volved in shoot­ing sports in 2016, and were hon­oured to be run­ners-up to the fa­mous Brown­lee brothers – Olympic ath­letes Jonny and Alis­tair, who won the ac­co­lade for their achieve­ments in triathlon.

Ly­dia Ab­de­laoui, founder of Femmes Fatales, said: “The ladies are ex­tremely grate­ful for the sup­port they re­ceived from the shoot­ing com­mu­nity, who took the time to vote for us and helped them in their quest to get a lit­tle more recog­ni­tion for the sport we all love!”
