Improve shooting and shoot management, with BASC and GWCT
Improve both your shooting and your shoot management skills, and learn the latest best practice in predator control, cover crops and gamebird releasing at Shooting for the Future, a day course run jointly by BASC and the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT).
The course begins with presentations from BASC on improving your shooting, followed by a talk from the GWCT on gamebird management to maximise shoot productivity and conservation benefits, and a guided tour of the GWCT showcase shoot, which gives the opportunity to witness best practice and to ask questions.
The afternoon focuses on shooting skills and covers patterning and range judging with BASC-accredited coaches; attendees can then have their technique analysed using BASC’s famous shooting simulator.
A simulated game drive at the Allerton Project, Loddington, rounds the day off, with loaders on hand to supervise and provide guidance and assistance.
There will be several Shooting for the Future courses running throughout 2017, with the next course set for 24 May. Visit http://bit.ly/2ovvWjN for more details and to book your place.
