Savage pest control

Sporting Shooter - - Product News -

This well-priced semi-automatic rifle in popular calibres .22 LR and .22 WMR is screaming out to be used for pest control and ‘funday Sunday’ plinking.

Distributed exclusively by Edgar Brothers, the Savage A22 rifle has a matt black synthetic stock (drilled and tapped for included scope mounts, and has a case-hardened receiver and hard-chromed block), offering fantastic toughness and durability in any conditions.

The barrel is made of carbon steel, is button-rifled, has a satin finish, and offers the accuracy that Savage is renowned for, aided by the adjustable AccuTrigger.

At just over 5.5lbs, the rifle is lightweight and well balanced, with a flush-fit detachable rotary magazine holding 10 rounds.

Derek Edgar, managing director of Edgar Brothers, said of the A22 Series: “This new semi-automatic series from Savage brings the line bang up to date, and takes the already popular rifles to a new level. We will have UK-specific models with a 16" threaded barrel to allow for sound moderators, as well as being able to upgrade the rifles by using a Boyd thumbhole stock, which will make a fantastic combination.”
