GRACEWELL care home in Blackwater welcomed Aldershot MP Sir Gerald Howarth and the Mayor of Rushmoor Cllr Jacqui Vosper to its open day.

Guests were treated to live music from singer Johnny Clarke as well as a performance by a magician and party games.

Refreshments were served throughout the day.

Jeorgia Spalding, who works at Gracewell care home, said: “The day was a big success. It was a real community event that brought everyone together at Gracewell to celebrate, and the atmosphere was just brilliant.

“We were delighted so many people, including the mayor, could join us to celebrate the great work that we do here.

“It is the Gracewell way to involve friends, family and local residents, and this event illustrated that. Everyone is welcome to attend the regular events at Gracewell – our door is always open.”
