BAFTA Cymru Nods for DOC­TOR WHO

Doc­tor Who has re­ceived five nom­i­na­tions in this year’s BAFTA Cymru Awards, which hon­our ex­cel­lence in broad­cast­ing and pro­duc­tion within film and tele­vi­sion in Wales. Peter Ca­paldi has been nom­i­nated as Best Ac­tor for his per­for­mance as the Doc­tor in Se­ries Eight’s Dark Wa­ter, whilst his com­pan­ion Jenna Coleman (Clara Oswald) has been recog­nised for her work in Kill the Moon (aka the one with the egg). Will Oswald, an editor on Doc­tor Who since 2007 (and a pre­vi­ous win­ner in the edit­ing cat­e­gory in 2001 and 2008), is nom­i­nated for his work on Dark Wa­ter, the Pro­duc­tion Team are short­listed for Best Vis­ual and Spe­cial Ef­fects for the 2014 Fes­tive spe­cial Last Christ­mas and the new ti­tle se­quence for the se­ries fea­tures in the list of nom­i­nees in the Best Ti­tles and Graphic Iden­tity cat­e­gory. The win­ners will be an­nounced at a cer­e­mony held in Cardiff’s St David’s Ho­tel on Septem­ber 27th. Out­side the Box says ‘good luck!’ to all the nom­i­nees and we’ll re­port on the win­ners and losers next month.
