‘Hosking TOC’ applies to ORR
The grouping around Jeremy Hosking has formally applied to the Office of Rail and Road for a safety certificate - the first step towards creating a new Train Operating Company. An application for a licence will follow, expected to be submitted by the end of February. Spokesman Peter Greenwood has previously said he was optimistic about the establishment of the TOC being completed during 2017 (SR461). The safety certificate application, plus annex, runs to about 400 pages in total, he said.
