LLANFAIR’S NEW ROOF

Steam Railway (UK) - - Narrow Gauge | News -

With the building stripped for the removal of asbestos (SR467), the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway has had its existing workshop building re-clad. Built in the 1960s, the workshop’s upper walls and roof had been clad in asbestos panels, which remained safe while untouched. The railway will be able to sell the new panels when the building is demolished to make way for the proposed visitor centre in a few years.
