‘DOUGLAS’ GOES INTO THE BLUE
The Talyllyn Railway celebrated the centenary of its Barclay 0-4-0WT No. 6 ‘Douglas’ on February 21. It is the only Royal Air Forceowned narrow gauge steam locomotive in preservation, and to celebrate the centenary of the RAF, it has been adopted by the Royal Air Force Association. With RAFA sponsorship, a team of the railway’s female volunteers repainted the locomotive in RAF blue livery.
