‘QUADS’ IN THE WORKS

Gres­ley ‘Quad-Art’ set No. 74 are cur­rently in the Car­riage & Wagon work­shops at Wey­bourne on the North Nor­folk Rail­way for over­haul. The work in­cludes new roof can­vas (the ve­hi­cles hav­ing been with­drawn in 2016 ow­ing to wa­ter ingress) and the re­place­ment of all 40 brake blocks for the first time since BR days.

DON­CASTER HON­OURS GRES­LEY

A pub­lic square in Don­caster is to be named af­ter Sir Nigel Gres­ley fol­low­ing a vote by Don­caster Free Press read­ers. The square will form part of the £300 mil­lion Civic and Cul­tural Quar­ter de­vel­op­ment.
