Celebrity ‘A3’ No. 60103 Flying Scotsman broke new ground in October, by entering Cornwall for the first time.
Double-heading with ‘Black Five’ No. 44871, the locomotive traversed the sea wall at Dawlish before crossing the River Tamar into Cornwall on October 4 at the head of ‘The Cathedrals Express’, on behalf of Steam Dreams Rail Co.
The Gresley ‘Pacific’ later hauled solo trips from Plymouth to Par and Penzance on October 6.
Flying Scotsman and ‘Black Five’ No. 44871 cross Coombe Viaduct on October 4, shortly after passing into Cornwall from Plymouth over Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s Royal Albert Bridge.
