£20kcar nicked out­side a house

A sil­ver Mini Cooper thought to be val­ued around £20,000 - was stolen from out­side a house in Stir­ling last week.

Po­lice have is­sued an ap­peal for in­for­ma­tion af­ter crooks tar­geted the ve­hi­cle which was parked on Wal­lace Park in Brae­head be­tween noon on Thurs­day Fe­bru­ary 9 and 6pm the fol­low­ing day.

Those re­spon­si­ble forced en­try to a prop­erty there be­fore steal­ing the keys and mak­ing off with the car, which is sil­ver with black stripes on the bon­net and has reg­is­tra­tion MA12 ANS.

The own­ers were not at home at the time of the crime and of­fi­cers were con­tacted by a con­cerned neigh­bour.

Po­lice are link­ing the theft to sim­i­lar in­ci­dents which hap­pened in the south Al­loa area at the week­end.

On Satur­day an Audi and a Mercedes were taken from out­side a prop­erty while on the same day a Mini was stolen from a sep­a­rate ad­dress nearby.

Of­fi­cers are ap­peal­ing for any­one who may have seen some­one act­ing sus­pi­ciously in the area, or who has per­haps seen this car in the last few days, to get in touch.
