Park on short­list

Loch Lomond and the Trossachs Na­tional Park is in the run­ning for ana­tional award.

The pub­lic are be­ing urged to vote for their favourite vis­i­tor at­trac­tion as part of the BBC Coun­try­file Magazine Awards.

Thanks to a nom­i­na­tion from Coun­try­file pre­sen­ter John Craven, the na­tional park is among ten Scot­tish fi­nal­ists nom­i­nated across a num­ber of cat­e­gories.

Visitscot­land chief ex­ec­u­tive Mal­colm Roug­head said: “It’s won­der­ful that once again so many great ex­am­ples of the su­perb qual­ity and range of Scot­land’s tourism as­sets have been short­listed.”

Fer­gus Collins, ed­i­tor of BBC Coun­try­file Magazine, said: “It’s been an­other fan­tas­tic year for nom­i­na­tions from Scot­land – again re­flect­ing the thrilling diver­sity of land­scapes and vis­i­tor at­trac­tions across the coun­try.”

Votes must be placed by Fe­bru­ary 28 at coun­try­file. com/awards.
