All temporary traffic measures will be lifted during the day time to keep disruption to a minimum.

However short diversions through Tyndrum may be in place when resurfacing operations are in the A85 junction area to allow access to the Oban road.

The road improvements, which have been planned following consultation with the local authority, Transport Scotland, local businesses and residents, are designed to create an smoother and safer surface for motorists.

Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s north west representative, said: “The £250,000 resurfacing improvements through Tyndrum will upgrade the road surface through the village, improving road safety.

“We’ve scheduled these works to take place before the tourist period and have planned the scheme to take place overnight to do all we can to limit disruption.

“We’ve also planned the scheme to avoid working at the busier Friday and Saturday nights to further limit the impact.”
