Uni’s Ja­pan week

A pro­gramme of events ded­i­cated to Ja­panese cul­ture will take place at the Univer­sity of Stir­ling next week as part of their 50th an­niver­sary cel­e­bra­tions.

The univer­sity’s Ja­pan Week, which is now in its fifth year, will run from Sun­day (Fe­bru­ary 19) to Wed­nes­day Fe­bru­ary 22 and fea­ture a host of lec­tures, films, work­shops and dis­plays.

Events will in­clude a tra­di­tional Ja­panese tea-cer­e­mony, ki­mono makeover, fash­ion show, lan­guage classes and a con­cert with the Ed­in­burgh Quar­tet.

Most events are free but reg­is­tra­tion is re­quired in ad­vance. For more in­for­ma­tion go to stir.ac.uk/events.
