Drunk told cops he wished they’d die

-

A Stirling man who drunkenly wished death upon police officers during a foul-mouthed outburst has appeared at court.

Guy Jordan Dadge (54) shouted, swore, acted in an aggressive manner and uttered abusive remarks during a disturbance at Allan Park on July 13 last year.

Dadge, whose address was given as a property on Allan Park, was this week ordered to undertake 75 hours of unpaid community work in the next four months as punishment.

Stirling Sheriff Court heard how, at around 8.50pm on the day of the outburst, Dadge had gone upstairs to a neighbour’s and began banging on their door.

The residents became frightened and called the police.

When officers arrived they found Dadge walking down the stairs which lead to the house.

He appeared to be intoxicated and said he’d been at a neighbour’s flat to resolve some issues.

At this point he was escorted to a vehicle while police went to speak to the neighbour.

Dadge then began to shout and swear before telling the officers he hoped they die.

He continued to be abusive and was taken to Falkirk Police Office where he was cautioned and charged.

Sentencing him on Wednesday, Sheriff William Gilchrist said:“I hope this will draw a line under this sort of behaviour.”
