Vandal who kicked mirror off car lands fine and warning

-

A yob who kicked the wing mirror off a car has been fined.

Ronald Bruce Mitchell, 18, of Muirend Road in Stirling appeared at Stirling Sheriff Court this week.

The court heard that Mitchell had been walking down Spittal Street at around 5.50pm on June 5, 2016 when he was seen to lash out.

Fiscal depute Laura Knox told the court:“The accused was seen walking along the street, kicked the wing mirror off a parked car, and ran down the street.

“He was spotted by a few of the neighbours.”Defending, Frazer McCready said that his client had a poor recollection of the incident due to the amount of alcohol he had taken.

Sheriff Wyllie Robertson issued Mitchell with a £500 fine, and ordered him to pay £230 compensation.

“You have a limited record, but you are still very young,”the Sheriff warned.

“Already there is a concern there due to the variety of matters on your record.

“You have to consider your future very carefully if you’re not going to get into further trouble.”
