Good turnout at 35th an­nual event

There was a good turnout for the 35th an­nual Thorn­hill Flower Show held in the com­mu­nity hall.

Chair­man Nor­man McBean wel­comed ev­ery­one and then handed over to for­mer chair­man Ian Bain, who pre­sented this year’s tro­phies.

The com­mit­tee would like to thank all the ex­hibitors, judges, stew­ards and con­ven­ers for their help and a spe­cial thank you goes to raf­fle donors, es­pe­cially the Lion and Uni­corn Ho­tel; Mains Farm Wig­wams; But­ter­cup Cafe; Old Leckie Farm and BenView Gar­den Cen­tre and this year’s judges Jim Mitchell (paint­ings), Jim Struthers (flow­ers), Janet If­fla (in­dus­trial and flo­ral art) and Wal­ter McGowan (veg­eta­bles).
