Cash for teachers
Five-figure bursaries are to be created for those wishing to change careers and become a teacher.
The Scottish Government is looking to recruit more teachers to work in STEM subjects: science, technology, engineering or maths.
And bursaries of up to £20,000 will be created for those interested.
Stirling MSP Bruce Crawford said: “STEM subjects are crucial, not just to the education of our children but the future of our economy.
“We need to recruit more teachers in these subjects and to do that we need to reach beyond recent graduates and attract people who have the appropriate subject degree but are working in business or industry.”
