Meeting aboutC60 busservice cancellation

Stirling Observer - - FRONT PAGE -

Residents in Callander will get their say on a solution to the cancelled C60 bus route.

The Observer reported last month how the future of the rural bus route between Killin and Callander remained unclear, after operator, Kingshouse Travel, gave Stirling Council four months’ notice of its intention to stop operating the service which will come to an end on December 30 due to a shortage of drivers.

The route also stops at Lochearnhead and Strathyre.

Transport bosses at Stirling Council swiftly arranged a series of public meetings to give residents their say on how they would like the service to be replaced.

The meetings took place in Killin and Lochearnhead and they are now set to hold a further meeting in Callander for residents to have their say.

The meeting has been earmarked for the Callander Youth Hostel on October 24 from 6.30pm until 8pm.
