A competitor taking part in an obstacle race near Doune had to be treated for a serious injury.

A man who was tackling the Lanrick Challenge, at the Lanrick Estate, on Saturday fell and suffered a suspected dislocated ankle.

Ochils Mountain Rescue Team had been supporting the event, however they were called on to help treat a number of participan­ts who sustained minor injuries as well as the man who injured his ankle.

The man was treated for his injury before being stretchere­d off the course and passed on to the Scottish Ambulance Service.
