Stirling club‘s open invitation
Stirling Netball Club will be playing in the newly-formed Central Netball Association League this year.
And the club is looking for experienced netballers, interested in developing their game to an open night later this month.
Launched in 2015, the club has led the way in establishing the sport within the Central Region, working in partnership with Active Stirling and Netball Scotland.
Following the initial creation of a social Bounce Back to Netball Club (BBN), the club now offers two training sessions a week for adult members as well as a thriving junior section. In order to promote netball within the area, SNC has supported the recent formation of the Central Netball Association which is running a senior and junior netball league in Central Scotland.
Now the Stirling club are looking for netballers interested in playing at a competitive level within this league to come along to an open trial and give it a go at The PEAK on Monday, August 27 from 8.30-10pm.
For those who would rather play in a more relaxed environment, BBN Stirling sessions are held on Wednesday evenings at The PEAK. Following their success as Netball Scotland’s BBN Club of Year 2015/16, the club has again been shortlisted for the award for the third consecutive year.
The launch night for BBN Stirling’s 2018/19 season will be held on Wednesday, August 29 from 8.30-10pm.
To register your interest for either event, please email stirlingnetballclub@gmail. com.
Club chairperson Anne Marie McDougall said: “We are absolutely delighted that Stirling Netball Club will be playing competitive netball in the Central Netball Association league. We are excited for our club to take this step forward to provide competitive opportunities for netballers across Stirling and beyond, and we would like to invite anyone to come along to our open trials to help us create league teams!
“Our Bounce Back to Netball sessions have always been extremely popular, and are such great fun for everyone who just wants to play recreationally. If you are feeling inspired after watching the netball at the Commonwealth Games please come along.”
