Stirling County 2nds were brought back down to earth on Saturday after their win at Melrose the week before.

Boroughmui­r 2nds took the win points back to Edinburgh with them on the back of a 34-21 victory in Tennent’s National Reserve League 1 and on Saturday County will hope to get back on track when they visit Hawick Force.

In Tennent’s Caledonia Midlands 2, Howe of Fife 2nds failed to raise a team for their match against Stirling County 3rds and the match has been re-arranged for December 15. This weekend the Stirling side play host to Carnoustie.

The top of the table Fifers kept up their unbeaten run with a 34-12 win. Bannockbur­n are away to Montrose and District on Saturday.

The ladies finished the first part of the Tennent’s Women’s Premier League season in style by thumping luckless Cartha Queen’s Park 105-0 at home. The Stirling girls sit in third place at the league split.
