Par­ish Church The Re­mem­brance ser­vice is a joint one with St Mary’s. As­sem­ble at the War Me­mo­rial at 10.50am for a short act of Re­mem­brance at 10.55am, led by Mr Mark Sey­mour from St Mary’s. Sun­day wor­ship fol­lows in church at 11.15am led by Rev Dr Va­lerie Allen. The board and ses­sion will meet on Tues­day. The church Christ­mas fete is on Satur­day, Novem­ber 24. St Mary’s Scot­tish Epis­co­pal Church Joint ser­vice with Aber­foyle Par­ish Church on Re­mem­brance Sun­day (see above). There are no ser­vices in St Mary’s that day. Shop­ping night On Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 14, at 7pm there will be a shop­ping night in aid of Trossachs Search and Res­cue at the Forth Inn. This will in­clude a raf­fle and plenty of stalls. There will also be cakes, jams and jew­ellery.

\Cam­bus­bar­ron

Bruce Me­mo­rial Church Cam­bus­bar­ron will join in the na­tion­wide day of com­mem­o­ra­tive events mark­ing the cen­te­nary of the end of World War One. At 6am piper Ste­wart Mar­shall will play a lament. Church will be­gin at 10.45am and lo­cals will gather at the war me­mo­rial at noon. At 6.55pm there will be a fur­ther Act of Re­mem­brance at the War Me­mo­rial, in­clud­ing light­ing can­dles and ring­ing the church bells. Rock Solid Youth Club P4-7 meets tonight from 6.30-8pm in the church hall.

Coun­cil­lor Martin Earl will be in the Muir Hall, Doune, on Mon­day at 7pm. Line danc­ing The Western Sun­set Line Danc­ing Group meets in Doune Cas­tle Bowl­ing Club on Tues­days from 7.30-9.30pm. Health cen­tre Adult flu drop-in clinic on Thurs­day from 1.30- 4pm. This is for Doune Health Cen­tre pa­tients who are 65 and over or in an at-risk group.
