Brewing success at Co-op

-

THE Co-op has teamed up with Robinson’s Brewery to launch its own range of craft beers.

Golden Ale, IPA and Triple Hop are now being sold in the retailer’s stores.

The decision on what type of craft beers would be sold was taken after taste tests with Co-op members.

Kate Flanagan, from Robinson’s, based in Stockport town centre, said: “It’s very encouraging to see the increasing focus that retailers like Co-op have on locally sourced regional produce but also engaging their customers in the production process, or in this case the taste testing.

“Inviting customers to have their say prior to the product being produced not only helps with real time customer feedback, which in turn informs the production process, but it also means that when the product is launched everyone owns it, which is extremely powerful and engaging.”

Co-op members also had their say on the beers’ labels and after feedback Robinsons Brewery, Deansgate Bridge and Salford Lads Club were chosen to feature on the designs.
