Day entries open for half marathon

-

Saturday also saw the entries open for the 3rd Hatters Half Marathon, which is set to go from outside Edgeley Park on Sunday 3rd September at 9-30am.

Entries are t £18 (affiliated ) and £20 (non affiliated runners) – this includes a medal and a free Stockport County ticket! To enter, runners are asked to please visit www.hattershalf.co.uk and follow the link to the Run Britain website or go to the dedicated Facebook page – www.facebook. com/hattershalf/ and click on “Book Now”.

Last year James Scott-Buccleuch from Stockport Harriers won in 1hr 16mins 24 sec and Sharon Johnstone from Wilmslow in 1hr 28mins 17 sec.

Anyone taking part is sure to enjoy the experience as the race follows the River Mersey along the Trans Pennine Trail to Northenden, before forming a loop and returning to the finish in Alexandra Park in Edgeley.

Robinson’s Brewery have supported the race every year since the event started in 2015, and we are proud to confirm ‘Robbies’ as Premier Corporate Partner for the event once more!

Finally, the Supporters Cooperative now have an e Bay account in support of the Guardian Account. In this respect we will again be in the Cheadle End Cabin before County’s game with Tamworth, to receive donations of shirts, hats, scarves etc, to boost the Guardian Account as usual, but we also appeal for football cards or team sheets , the older the better in both cases.
